Working with an experienced coach will help you get to where you want to be FASTER. That could be:
- Getting race ready.
- Getting fitter with weekly accountability.
- Being injury free and tackling any underlying issues.
- Or maybe it’s breaking that vicious cycle of injury – rest – train – race.
Any of those scenarios sound familiar?
Gemma Spackman has worked with three GB athletes and helped them get to the top of their game, so her credentials are good. Now she’s taking all those skills, and years of hard work, to help ordinary members of the public just like you get to the top of your game.
Whatever your needs we are here to help you. We get you started by having a phone consultation and then Gemma will create a bespoke training programme to suit your particular needs.
The first element is spent analysing you and making sure you have all that you need in your programme to get you the best results. For example, if you are planning a run or race, we will obviously look at your gait on the treadmill. If you’ve got injuries or underlying pain, we would look at your movement patterns as to what might be causing them. This type of coaching is very in-depth focusing on you and your body.
Your personal training membership also includes:
- An individual training programme that has been designed specifically for you, based on your consultation with one of our coaches.
- Body measurements and monthly progress assessments to help you stay motivated and on track.
- Help and advice from your personal trainer during each session.
- Monthly workshops and seminars on topics such as nutrition and snacking.
- Exercise plans to do at home if you want to fit in extra training.
- Advice on topics such as stretching, using a foam roller and trigger point work.
- Discounts off our sports massages to enable you to alleviate any aches and pains.
- Membership of our Inner Circle Facebook group, where you can obtain great advice from the trainers and other members.
- Access to our booking system so you can manage your own training schedule.
Gemma loves to race herself, so she knows the obstacles you face are not just on the course. Whatever stands in your way from reaching your goals she will help you to overcome them, break free and excel. Just like these guys did -
Testimonials
Gemma - Personal Training client
I joined because I wasn't really doing any kind of exercise, injuries and niggles had stopped me running and whenever I started again, they all came back. I didn't really know what to expect, but found Gemma Spackman is an amazingly nice person who is encouraging and supportive, helps you feel relaxed and definitely knows her stuff.
I had never lifted weights before and didn't have a clue how to do it, I hadn't wanted to try on my own as I was more than a little worried about injuring myself. Gemma demonstrates how to use the correct technique really clearly and is great at adjusting my form to make sure I'm doing the exercises correctly. I now enjoy lifting heavy things. Each month there is a different plan which pushes me, keeps the variety up and is shockingly enjoyable. I've seen such an improvement in my weight, strength and overall fitness, my body shape is heading towards somewhere I never thought possible, and I'm running again.
I wouldn't have been able to achieve this on my own, I wouldn't have known where or how to start, and it's so much better than the boring gym. I'm excited to see where I get to.
Ruth - progressed from the Injury Clinic to being a Personal Training client
After four years of trying to fix my knee, and other injuries, all rooted in hypermobility, I began a course of treatment with Gemma Spackman at her injury clinic in January 2020.
Lockdown gave me the opportunity to dedicate some serious time to my rehab which produced some unexpected and surprising results; my knee pain declined and, more importantly, recovery time improved between exercise sessions.
Over the last few months, I have seen a noticeable improvement in my condition. I’m stronger and more stable in my posture and am able to run two 5ks a week and have recently taken part in an Aquathlon.
I’m always going to be battling my genetics with my hypermobility, but the injury clinic has helped me on my way to being able to manage the impacts that my joints have on my ability to exercise safely.
Ryan – Personal Training client who works out with his partner
Gemma’s personal training programmes for couples have really kept me and my partner going during lockdown. We both have very different goals, but our programmes are personalised to our own specific training needs. It’s something that we both look forward to doing together each week and we enjoy spending the time together – it’s something we can share while still pursuing our own individual objectives. Personally, Gemma’s programmes have really enabled me to stay in shape for climbing when the climbing gyms have been closed throughout lockdown.
